Zambia
Canoeing, game viewing, walking safaris, white water rafting
Little, if anything, can compare to the intense thrill of seeing leopard at close quarters on a walking safari in the game-rich South Luangwa Valley with one of the greatest guides on the planet. And there’s still more: three great rivers, including the Zambezi, three massive lakes, and an amazingly rich and diverse spectrum of wildlife and habitats make this relatively under-developed country one of our favourite parts of Africa. Here, you still feel as if you are exploring something almost undiscovered.
As well as the incredible, thundering cascades of Victoria Falls, there are little-known corners that we can help you to discover: the bird-lovers paradise of Kafue; the beautiful Bangweleu Swamp and the gloriously remote North Luangwa.
Even more than its scattering of excellent camps (think: rustic luxury, rather than bush glamour; unspoiled nature, not glitz) Zambia is home to some truly outstanding guides, with whom we work very closely. As always, we strongly recommend that you take expert advice to ensure the right match for you.
Best visited: June to October
All itineraries are individually designed, but as a guide, we can arrange ten days in Zambia, including flights, from £3000/ $4560 per person.
