Why do you love Ambergris Cay?
Inside the reef, the water is shallow and predominantly calm. Being only half a mile to the windward side of the island, many spectacular dive sites are easily accessible. Ambergris includes the legendary Blue Hole, Jacques Cousteau's 8th Wonder of the World.
What is it?
The largest of the 200 islands which dot the Caribbean off the coast of Belize. The coastline is protected by a 190 mile reef- the second largest living coral reef in the world.
Where is it?
Just off the tip of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.
