Africa + Indian Ocean

Lush tropical island, volcanic peaks, stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, watersports

If you’re thinking lush, tropical island, you can’t get much lusher or more tropical than this. Its pristine beaches of pale-blonde sand, protected by coral reefs and set against a Bali Hai-style backdrop of jungly volcanic peaks, make it a great, classic beach destination in its own right. But it also serves as the perfect post-safari-pamper add-on.

The Mauritian hotels have mastered the art of first class service (not to mention virtually every form of watersport known to man) but there’s a caveat: this is a place where your choice of hotel can make or break the holiday.

It’s vital to match your tastes – or your reason for travelling – to the right resort. Honeymoon? Family? Low-key? Glamorous? You get the idea. And once you have picked the hotel, there’s the small matter of which room or suite is going to be right for you. That’s why our experts have been there and checked it out for you – and they go back regularly, to make sure that their advice will be right up to date.

Best visited: April to November

All itineraries are individually designed, but as a guide, we can arrange a ten day holiday in Mauritius (not including flights) from £2000 per person.

“Our happiness and gratitude are overflowing. Thank you again for all the thought and care.”
