Take an adventure many have only dreamed of. Explore this big white 'desert' in comfort

Breathtaking mountains, glaciers and fjords; astonishing colours and sounds; unique wildlife, such as the Emperor Penguin and leopard seal, as well as research stations and historical points of interest – the White Continent offers an awe-inspiring, once in a lifetime experience.

With visits limited to the Southern hemisphere’s summer months, the continent of snow and ice remains pretty inaccessible and relatively untouched.

We work with a good choice of expedition vessels – from smaller ships to icebreakers – which offer a range of adventure and comfort, visiting both the area to the south of Tierra del Fuego and the more remote South Shetland Islands, Falklands and South Georgia.

All itineraries are individually designed, but as a guide, we can arrange a 7 day itinerary in Antarctica (not including flights) from £8000.

Places to Stay

At c+l, we have no vested interest in the hotels and lodges which we select - we review everything and choose the best for a particular client. And because we visit our three regions on a regular basis and have detailed conversations with over 90% of our clients on their return, our choices can be refined continually. The choice of what is best for the client is our only consideration.

Best time to go

Best visited from November through to February when the ice makes it possible to get into true Antarctica and, for the more adventurous trips, when activities on land and pack ice are most extensive. Antarctica combines well with the South of Argentina and the South of Chile.
