Central + South America Miami Stroll along ocean drive, excellent spas, award winning restaurants, golden beaches Miami is a major international airline hub and many flights go via here on their way to Latin America and other destinations. Therefore we think it’s a fantastic option to squeeze in a holiday in Miami before or after a trip to either Latin America or the Caribbean. It will add another dimension to your holiday and it breaks up the flying time! There is an abundance of different things to do and see in Miami. Start by soaking up some rays on South Beach, famous for its celebrity spotting. From here take a stroll along Ocean Drive and experience Miami’s iconic Art Deco Buildings which sprung up during the 1930’s and 40’s. Miami is now recognised by many as the most important culture hub between North and South America, so the major museums, events and performance spaces are a must see during your time here. Little Havana is definitely worth a visit. The local Miami Cubans take great pride in their heritage, replicating many of the shops and restaurants they’d have back home. There are hundreds of fantastic restaurants to choose from which will please even the most discerning of travellers. When it comes to accommodation in Miami you are spoilt for choice and there is something to suit everyone. Hotels of all styles are located here, from the glitzy and glam to the Asian inspired Zen-like retreats. And what’s even more exciting is that hotels like these keep on springing up, all over Miami. All itineraries are individually designed, but as a guide, we can arrange a seven day Miami holiday (not including flights) from £1000 per person. Places to Stay Highlights Location Places to Stay At cazenove+loyd, we have no vested interest in the hotels, lodges, boats, trains and tented camps which we select. We only choose what is right for a particular client. We visit each destination in our three regions on a regular basis and have detailed conversations with our clients on their return so our choices are continually refined. Here are just four c+l reviews. This is by no means a prescriptive list, but hints at what we look for and value in places to stay. The Metropolitan By COMO Henrietta Loyd was one of the first to try The Metropolitan by COMO, which opened in Miami in 2013 after much anticipation and intrigue. The hotel, overlooking America's most iconic beach hasn't failed to impress with water views to the back and front. The design of barefoot luxury has been mastered by contemporary Italian designer Paolo Navone. If you are looking for true elegance, you won’t be able to beat the Metropolitan, which has quickly become an essential Miami Beach experience and one of our favourites. Find out more The Setai South Beach, Miami is continuously welcoming new hotels to its famous strip of coastline, but despite their growing numbers we still rank The Setai as one of the best. Its Oriental inspired design with masculine tones of rich chocolate, cream and black sets it apart from the other luxury hotels located along the coast. The Setai is one of a few which can proudly boast of its title as a Leading Hotel of the World and in our opinion, rightly so.
