“You’ll be travelling through the same landscape as the gods, heroes, soldiers and poets of ancient Greece”
This may be a week of learning and knowledge but we can guarantee that at no point will it feel like a school trip. This is an experience specifically created to bring families together in a beautiful setting and a chance to discover an ancient civilisation, not in a dusty classroom but here in the powerful temples, mountains and oceans of Greece.
You’ll visit the great religious sanctuaries of Zeus, Apollo and Athena, climb the mighty citadels of Homeric heroes at Mycenae and Pylos and compare the ruins of the rival cities of Athens and Sparta. But, most importantly, you’ll be travelling through the same landscape as the gods, heroes, soldiers and poets of ancient Greece: you’ll see the riverbank where Zeus wooed Leda, the village where Hercules killed the lion and the bay where the Athenians heroically defeated the Persians. And it’s not only in contemplation of the past that there’s fun to be had: there’ll be swimming in the turquoise sea, splashing in waterfalls, a visit to a hidden cave, and plenty of delicious food.
