a different way of life
With space for just three ideas it is difficult to choose just three destinations - there is an element of experiencing 'a different way of life' in everything we do. As always the best thing is to give us a call then someone with in-depth knowledge of that destination can guide you. We are all about understanding a client's needs and building experiences which meet these.
laos
One of the gentlest and most culturally interesting countries in Asia, Laos has a very special feel to it. Still relatively little visited, if you venture into the Mekong by boat, you really do see a landscape and a way of life which runs as a parallel universe to the rest of the world. Best visited November through April.

One of the great ways to see the Himalayas, and particularly its foothills, is on foot. We have devised some lovely, gentle village walks and treks in Uttaranchal and in Sikkim. Best in March to May or September to November.

VIETNAM
A fast developing but fascinating country, it now has some really lovely places to stay. We are lucky to have some really special guides who can get right under the skin of Vietnam’s history, culture and politics. Two distinct seasons mean that there is somewhere to visit all year round.

guatemala
Ancient ruins in jungle settings. Markets and colonial architecture.
Probably
the most authentic of Central American locations. Combines well with
Mexico or Belize if you want some beach as well. But for those who are
looking for a Mexico of 20 years ago, Guatemala is just that.

namibia
Cave paintings, desert adapted wildlife, the mystical and dramatic Skeleton Coast. The end of the rainy season. Warm and dry. However much you have seen of Africa, Namibia will always surprise and delight. Combines well with South Africa.
