Lisa travelled to India with cazenove+loyd. Her 48 hours in Mumbai involved exploring with all services she could ever ask for on a plate - what luxury! Lisa's tailormade itinerary consisted of travelling with her personal guide 'Neeta' in the morning and personal guide 'Hema' in the afternoon. Lisa had the chance to explore many unique and interesting shops during her 48 hours including a silver shop in Pydhoni which was followed by visiting Rakhi stall that sold lots of coloured bracelets.
Lunch consisted of trying various tasty Indian culinary delights such as panki chatni (rice pancakes in banana leaf), dahi batata puri (fried dumpling filled with potato) and thirst-quenching mango juice. With Hema, Lisa was whisked off to meet friends and find more hidden gems in little boutiques. Hema showed her local Jain temple on Malabar Hill, one made of various colours and materials. Other adventures followed, and before Lisa knew it, time for tea which meant heading to a private city club sipping Assam on the lawns.
At the end of the trip, Lisa visited a cool bar where delicious cocktails and wine were drunk, then ending her night at Thakkar Bhojanalya Club where more delicious food was eaten: curried curds, okra, chilliers, dhal, spinach, potatoes, hot nan with ghee or coriander paste. Seeing the city was spectacular and formed a truly unforgettable experience. For Lisa, a normal guide is nowhere near the same!
