Riding in India and Argentina

Publication: Jetsettersblog
Date: April 2, 2007

cazenove+loyd have launched yet more discovery packages through the form of a riding holiday in the Indian desert and two in different unique Argentine quarters.

The Indian desert horse ride takes you from Jodhpur to Udaipur through desert terrains of Aravelli Hills along with resting in some heritage properties during its course. Travel by Marwari horses, you experience desert villages, lakes, farms and foothills of the Aravelli Hills. Time out will be taken to visit a Marwari horse breeding farm, Ranakpur Jain Temples and Kumbhalgarh Fort.

The Argentinian Pampas in the Cordoba region will provide views of the Jesuit ruins and La Falda with the Eden Hotel funded by Hitler during the war. Overnight accommodation resides in a number of various locations such as cattle estancias and tents which will provide an opportunity to appreciate the rich diversity within. Horses are all bred on the Estancia Los Potreros, a site where the ride begins and finishes.

The Lake District of Argentina is a ride between four estancias. You will be led through the Andes foothills and a traditional barbeque for lunch. Though the distance is relatively long, you are also treated to food and wine refreshments with locals where you can enjoy learning about some of their customs.

All these rides can be organised through cazenove+loyd on +44 (0) 20 7384 2332 or by email.
