It's the best time to see green turtles, which come to the shallows to mate, and it's now that the giant tortoise eggs start to hatch. Celebrate Christmas and New Year here and you'll have a very merry time indeed. You can Kayak or Snorkel in perfect conditions, dive with rays and hammerhead sharks, and take in the islands' unique species, including marine iguanas and blue-fotted boobies.
