There is a school of thought that suggests we all have enough material possessions, and that time and money are better spent on meaningful and memorable experiences. What better way to feed the soul than through travel? Without a doubt, my travels have helped mould me into the person I am today, from living in Oslo as a child to working in Istanbul as a young man – not to mention my adventures around the world. These include cattle driving with Gauchos in Cordoba, spending time with the Masai in Kenya, and a car rally from the east to the west coast of America, all of which have had a lasting impact on me. As someone who does not have a purist travel background, I remain in awe of the encyclopaedic and inspirational knowledge of our team, something that only feeds my ambition to see and do more, much more...

Just returned from…

Argentina and Uruguay

I will always remember the vibrant barrios of Buenos Aires, the magnificence of the incredible Iguazu Falls and moving cattle across the pampas on horseback, shoulder to shoulder with the gauchos. With its beautiful rolling hills, wooded valleys and glorious beaches, Uruguay provided a welcome change of pace, as well as an opportunity to join the locals in feasting on some of the finest red meat ever to pass my lips. The cherry on the top was catching the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, which was moored in Punta del Este marina. Whilst the crews were busy preparing for their departure the following morning, we sat back with a fabulous bottle of red and watched the sun set to the gentle sounds of rigging tapping the yachts – perfect.

NEXT DESTINATION IS…

Jordan and Oman

.. on a trip with my father. This part of the world has it all – rich culture, ancient history, flavourful cuisine and gorgeous landscapes, and it is also the setting of a significant part of my father’s past adventures. He spent considerable amount of time living and working in Oman as a consultant engineer for PDO as a young man and I am very much looking forward to retracing some of his steps. Let the desert adventure begin!
