I recently enjoyed a wonderful week in Kenya’s Amboseli Ecosystem. In this magnificent region of parched plains dotted with lagoons, there were herds of elephants as far as the eye can see, before a glorious backdrop of Kilimanjaro. One evening, as the golden sun sunk into the lake, painting the skies violet, we were lucky enough to witness a cheetah pursue and dispatch a baby gazelle for her three hungry cubs. It was thrilling to say the least.
Having lived in India from 2013 to 2015, I’ve been longing to return and take my husband to all my favourite places in Mumbai and Rajasthan – from the best restaurants and rooftop bars to the most atmospheric spice markets and palaces. I cannot wait to get back to the colourful confusion of sights, sounds and smells of this amazing country. It really is a feast for the senses.
