    Job Role: Travel Writer + Editor | Maternity Cover
    Term: This is a full time role on a 3-month rolling contract to cover maternity leave starting mid Feb 2022. 
    Reporting to: Head of Marketing

    We are looking for a diligent travel writer and editor to join our marketing team. The individual must have experience of working in the travel industry and be able to work collaboratively to ensure that all efforts are aligned and delivered within the company strategy.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a writer and/or editor.
    • Knowledge and experience of the travel industry and high-end travel in the core regions we specialise in – Africa, Asia + the Middle East and Latin America.
    • Exposure to the high-end consumer market.
    • A thirst to create inspiring articles and stories showcasing our unrivalled destination and product knowledge and the extraordinary trips and experiences we create for our clients.
    • The ability to create content that is authoritative, factual and opinionated, for varying audiences and markets, which often requires a substantial amount of research.
    • An understanding of the commercial value of content creation and strong CTAs.
    • Ensure meticulous attention to detail in fact-checking, grammar, spelling, punctuation and house style.
    • English as a first language and a strong command of the written word.
    • The ability and flexibility to edit effectively, efficiently and at short notice.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload and to keep to deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To work with Head of Marketing to manage the company’s editorial and email campaign calendars.
    • To work closely alongside Head of Product and suppliers to source new and exciting content.
    • To create and edit all written content on the website, blog, email campaigns, itineraries, press fact-boxes and any other text required throughout the company.
    • To proactively ensure the website and blog are kept up to date.
    • Working alongside Head of Digital to write all metadata for the website and blog to optimise all published content.
    • To continue to implement the company’s consistent tone of voice and adhere to the company style guidelines.
    • Organising and managing how best to capture and harness inspiring and valuable content from trips taken by the company’s Destination Experts.
    • Managing and curating cazenove+loyd’s annual print magazine, CURIOUS.
