Best Easter holiday destinations

Whether you’re dreaming of escaping to a glorious Caribbean beach in Mexico or a stunning bush retreat in Kenya, we can design the perfect trip for you. Some of the best Easter holiday destinations are the ones we cherry picked below, so get in touch with one of our experts to start planning now.

Kenya

Travel in Africa is all about enjoying the magnificent landscapes, wildlife and space of the African wilderness. With direct flights from both the US and the UK, Kenya is easy to access and we know so many lovely lodges, camps and houses there, including Ol Malo in Laikipia and Angama Mara on the edge of the Masai Mara. We recommend spending some time on the beach after your safari at Alfajiri Villas or Kinondo Kwetu on Kenya’s spectacular eastern shores.

“April is a lovely, quiet time of year to be in Kenya. Prices are lower and the onset of the rains brings beautiful carpets of flowers and grass shoots, making everything look lush and green,” says Claire Ferguson, Head of our Africa + the Indian Ocean team. “There are also many young animals around and fantastic birding, and there is nothing quite as dramatic as watching a rainstorm and then observing the wildlife all coming to life again after the downpour.”

Turks + Caicos Islands

If you’re longing to laze on a picture-perfect beach this Easter, consider Turks + Caicos. With their diverse marine flora and fauna and stunning selection of places to stay, these laid-back isles are perfect for couples, honeymooners, families and groups of friends alike. There’s plenty to do here other than just relaxing with a book. We can arrange for you to go cycling through tropical forests and banana plantations or scuba-diving among vibrant coral reefs.

We will recommend the best hideaway for you, such as Amanyara, on the north coast of Providenciales, or COMO Parrot Cay, set on its own private island.

“April is a glorious time to be in the Turks + Caicos, as the weather is hot but not too humid, and there are fewer people as the high season is coming to an end,” says our Destination Expert, Milly Warr.

Costa Rica

One of the world’s most biodiverse countries, Costa Rica is home to half a million species residing in wild and beautiful rainforests and cloud forests, making it a wildlife lover’s paradise. Its landscapes provide an awe-inspiring setting for outdoor adventures, such as hikes, white-water rafting and ziplining.

The country is just a direct flight away from both the UK and the US, and we know the most stunning small lodges and private houses, which are easily accessible by private charter flight. Some of our favourite properties include Playa Cativo Lodge in the Golfo Dulce, Lapa Rios on the Osa Peninsula, Pacuare Lodge beside the Pacuare River and Hotel Aguas Clara on the Caribbean coast.

Morocco

Whether you would like to explore the colourful medinas of Marrakech and Fez with an expert personal shopper or hike in the dramatic High Atlas Mountains, Morocco might be the answer. A direct flight away from the UK and the US, Morocco is accessible and a wonderful destination in April when the snow remains in the highest mountain peaks but springtime brings lush forests and landscapes blooming with wildflowers in the foothills.

We know a number of incredible, secluded private houses, small hotels and beautifully restored riads that are perfect for a family or group of friends. These include The Capaldi, a lovely, owner-run hotel in the Lower Atlas mountains.

Mexico

Travel to Mexico at Easter to relax on one of its sublime Caribbean shores or wild and spectacular Pacific coastlines. At this time of the year, the sun is shining and we can arrange for you to unwind on the beach or explore inland where you will find dramatic landscapes, a fascinating culture, colonial towns, charming hacienda hotels, Mayan temples, Aztec pyramids and lively markets.

We recommend finishing your trip at one of our favourite beach retreats, such as Hotel Esencia, and Jashita, on the glorious Tulum Beach.

The Maldives

The Maldives epitomise the escapist idyll: chalk-white powdery beaches, gin-clear waters, beautiful coral reefs and rich marine life. Each heavenly retreat is its own private island, with its own character and appeal, and our Destination Experts know them inside out so can match the right one to your taste.

Depending on which one of our favourite hotels you are staying in, we can arrange experiences you won’t forget, such as a surprise picnic on a deserted island, a private snorkelling adventure or stargazing with an astronomist. Get in touch to find out more.
